12-Year-Old Pleads Not Guilty to Underage Driving

Kuala Lumpur, 8th August 2024 – A 12-year-old boy, accompanied by his mother, pleaded not guilty in the Kulai Magistrate’s Court to charges of underage driving and reckless endangerment.
The boy was allegedly caught driving a car and causing an accident in Kulai on July 29, 2024. His mother was also charged for allowing the offense.
The magistrate set bail at RM2,000 for each, and the case is scheduled for mention on September 18.
The incident highlights growing concerns about underage driving and parental responsibility, as stated in Rree Malaysia today (FMT).
