By Subaashinee Kupusamy,

SHAH ALAM, 16 August: At just seven years old, Aayushi Yeogeswaran from SJK (T) Taman Sentosa has become Malaysia’s youngest published author, captivating the nation with her debut book, Unicorn and Little Amanda. Aayushi’s love for reading began early; by the age of two, she had already read around 4,000 books. Her passion for literature inspired her to write her own story, aiming to encourage children, particularly those from disadvantaged backgrounds, to develop a love for reading.

Aayushi’s remarkable achievement was celebrated with the launch of her book at Perpustakaan Raja Tun Uda in Shah Alam, a significant milestone that has set her on the path to becoming a prominent figure in the literary world. Her accomplishment earned her the prestigious Top-5 National Stars Achiever Award 2024 in the Youngest Book Author category by Kids Got Talent Malaysia, solidifying her place as a young talent to watch.

Beyond her first book, Aayushi has ambitious plans for the future, with four more books already in the pipeline. Her story serves as an inspiration not only to her peers but also to the wider community, proving that age is no barrier to achieving great things. Through her work, Aayushi hopes to spread the joy of reading and motivate others to pursue their dreams, regardless of the challenges they may face as stated in Astro Ulagam.
