According to MetMalaysia, eight districts are under Level 1 heat wave warning

Kuala Lumpur, 17 May: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a Level 1 heatwave warning for eight districts in Peninsular Malaysia.
According to MetMalaysia’s Heat Wave Status page on its website, the eight districts are Padang Terap in Kedah; Pasir Mas and Kuala Krai in Kelantan; Pekan, Bera and Rompin in Pahang and Segamat and Muar in Johor.
As reported by MetMalaysia, the eight districts attained the yellow alert, or Level 1 warning at 4.45 pm on Monday, May 15.
The website states that when temperatures at an area reach between 35°C and 37°C for three straight days, a Level 1 alert is issued.
When temperatures are above 40°C for three consecutive days, a red alert, or extreme heatwave warning, is issued. When temperatures are between 37°C and 40°C for three consecutive days, an orange alert, or Level 2 heatwave warning is given.
Sabah and Sarawak, as well as other parts of the peninsula, saw daily maximum temperatures that were below 35°C, according to MetMalaysia as stated in The Star.
