In honor of Ganesh Chaturthi, Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja received a 20-kg gold crown from Anant Ambani and the Reliance Foundation, according to Lokmat.

On September 5, the first glimpse of Mumbai’s Lalbaugcha Raja was revealed. At Lalbaugcha, Lord Ganesha may be seen wearing the gold crown and sitting majestically on the throne.

It is said to have taken almost two months to create the exquisite gold crown. The significant contribution made by Anant Ambani is a reflection of his bond with Lalbaugcha Raja. Lalbaugcha Raja and the youngest son of Mukesh Ambani have been connected for more than 15 years.

Honorary membership in Lalbaughcha Raja Sarvajanil Ganesh Utsav Mandal has been awarded to Anant Ambani. He was also named to the Lalbaugcha Raja Committee as an executive advisor. This demonstrates how closely Lalbaugcha Raja and Reliance Foundation are related.

The Ganeshotsav of Lalbaugcha Raja is being celebrated, as per customary, by the Lalbaugcha Raja Public Ganeshotsav Mandal from Saturday, September 7, 2024, until Tuesday, September 17, 2024.

The Lalbaugcha Raja is a well-known Ganesh idol that was created in 1934 by the Lalbaugcha Raja Sarvajanik Ganeshotsav Mandal in Putlabai Chawl. For almost eight decades, the Lalbaugcha Raja Ganesh idol has been cared for by the Kambli family.

This year, the grand Lalbaugcha Ganesh idol was unveiled on September 5, coinciding with the start of the 10-day Ganesh Chaturthi festival on September 7.
