ANOTHER INDIAN MAN PASSED AWAY IN GOMBAK POLICE STATION

Gombak 20 May 2021: Sivabalan A/L Subramaniam a 43 years old man passed away within an hour after arrest by Gombak police.

He is a bachelor who is working as a security guard. This incident happened at the same police station as the late Ganapathy who had died a just little over a month ago on April 18th 2021.

Sivabalan was taken by the police from his workplace in Bandar Baru Selayang yesterday morning.

Sivabalan’s mother Maheswary Chellaya, 61 claims that her son was healthy in the morning before he leaves for work.

She also said ‘’ police came to Sivabalan’s workplace and brought him with them saying that they wanted to change his IC, and they will send him back to the workplace. Few hours later my daughter( Sivabalan’s sister) received a call from police saying that her brother has been admitted in Hospital Selayang’’.

According to the police report, at 11.40 am, police brought in Sivabalan regarding an extortion case. The Gombak district police chief Tarawe stated that the late Sivabalan was brought to the Gombak police headquarters.

After this time, Sivabalan shared that he had breathing difficulties. The police then called for an ambulance .

Attempts to revive Sivabalan were made but failed, and he was declared dead at 12.30pm.

The police have classified Sivabalan’s case as a sudden death. It’s been stated that initial investigation has shown that Sivabalan had a prior history of heart problems. They are now waiting for the post mortem results.

Sivabalan’s family is seeking an investigation into his death, as the probability of him dying within an hour he was detained seemed unimaginable.
