KUALA LUMPUR 30 AUGUST:Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has stated that all colleges in the nation have been instructed to provide digital and artificial intelligence (AI) courses to students who are not majoring in STEM fields, including literature.
He claimed that this was to meet the needs of the industry.”We used to think that students interested in digital and AI courses had to be graduates in science, math, or related fields. But participation in these courses is also required of students majoring in literature.
“I recently visited India and came across a company that said an engineering degree is not required for all digital or AI specialists. They stated that people with a background in literature or other specialized studies would also be qualified to fill the position,” he remarked on Friday, August 30, at the Kerian Integrated Green Industrial Park (KIGIP) Groundbreaking Ceremony in Kerian, Perak.
