Armed Robbers Invade Bungalow in Klang, Steal RM600,000

6 OCTOBER: A family in Pandamaran experienced a terrifying ordeal when a group of armed robbers broke into their three-story bungalow early yesterday morning, making off with cash and valuables worth RM600,000.
The incident, which occurred around 5 a.m., left a 37-year-old male victim injured after one of the robbers slashed him with a machete, causing shoulder wounds.Klang Selatan District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Cha Hoong Fong, said police rushed to the scene after receiving a distress call from a resident.
Upon investigation, it was found that 10 to 12 suspects, believed to be locals, arrived in two vehicles: a white Honda Civic and a black Toyota Vios.“The suspects, all masked and armed with machetes, parked their cars in front of the house.
They then climbed over the perimeter wall, cut through the grille gate, and gained access to the house,” Hoong Fong explained.Once inside, the robbers raided each room, tying up three occupants as they searched for valuables. One of the residents managed to contact the police while the robbery was taking place, but the criminals fled before authorities arrived.
“The robbers escaped with cash, jewelry, and a religious statue, all totaling approximately RM600,000. The injured victim received four stitches for the machete wound on his left shoulder,” he added.Hoong Fong confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 395/397 of the Penal Code, which deals with gang robbery and armed robbery.
The police are intensifying efforts to track down the suspects. Authorities urge anyone with information related to the incident to report it to the nearest police station for further action.Videos of the break-in, showing the masked robbers scaling the wall and ransacking the house, have since gone viral on social media as stated in Kosmo Online.
