ASSAM TEACHER BOOKED FOR ALLEGEDLY FORCING GIRL STUDENT TO WATCH PORN IN CLASSROOM.

ASSAM, INDIA 17th AUGUST : According to police on Saturday, a head teacher at a government school in the Karimganj district of Assam has been charged with forcing a female pupil to watch pornography in class as stated in Hindustan Times.
According to Partha Pratim Das, the superintendent of police (SP) for Karimganj, the event happened on August 12 and the instructor has been charged under multiple provisions of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act as stated in Hindustan Times.
The girl’s family stated that although at first she was hesitant to inform them about the incident, she eventually told her mother. She disclosed that the instructor made her view an unpleasant video. A family member reported that he had inappropriately touched her as well.
According to the SP, the teacher was attacked by irate residents, but he was able to get away. He said, “They set ablaze to and vandalized the school.” Under the condition of anonymity, a local stated, “We send our kids to school so they get education and become better human beings, but what they’ll learn from a teacher like this.” ( stated in Hindustan Times )
We all harbour a deep-seated, deeply held conviction in the compassion of teachers, who by their extraordinary efforts change the lives of their students. The stories that bolster this viewpoint are not without merit, but this mythos also has a darker side. There is also a nasty undercurrent of mean-spirited and contemptuous behaviour toward pupils in a small number of teachers.
This behaviour seriously undermines the trust that the public has in schools, colleagues, and students have in educators. It also represents a corruption of the position of educator.
Childhood should be carefree playing in the sun, not living a nightmare in the darkness of the soul. We do not want to use the term ‘harassment’. What is happening today is sexual terrorism
