#benderaputih movement brings light to the neediest

KUALA LUMPUR, July 3: Support is pouring in for the White Flag or #benderaputih campaign as generous Malaysians unite to help the neediest who is suffering due to Covid-19 pandemic.
The #benderaputih has gone viral in social media in support of the movement which aims to help those in need of food and essentials.
United Malaysian Hindu Voice (UMHV) vice president R. Naraeshpillai, 30, said the campaign is definitely helping those people who is in depression.
“To be honest this Flag is indirectly trying to portrait that our government fail to help neediest.
“I would like to personally suggest that increasing food banks would help even more efficiently compare to this White Flag campaign because there is people who are shy and hesitant to seek help.
“…if there are food banks people will take whatever they need,” he told The Hindu Press.
On how the campaign can change the lives of the needy. Naraesh said: ‘’This is not going to change the entire live of the neediest but it’s going to help them to not worry about the food.
“This campaign will give them faith that if they don’t have food to eat there will be someone to help me.
“Even though it’s not going to give a big impact but temporary impact is definitely there,” he added.
Meanwhile, W. Navashineka, 20, said: “The impact of this campaign is definitely positive but taking precautions and protecting their selves before entering the neediest house will be better, and also it is beneficial to the one that need the supply.”
She also added that this campaign changing people’s live in many ways including chances of getting job opportunities.
Jeaniffer Trisha,20, said the campaign is beneficial to the one that need the supply.
“Even more, this taught us to act kindness to people around us as we never know what people going through and to feel grateful with what u have in your life.
“Eventually this bringing unity among Malaysians,” the university student said.
“…this is going to stop people from suffering in hunger.
“Since neediest will be receiving their foods and essential items this can help them to save their money to pay their commitments.
“This also going to end the neediest struggle, especially to those in big family as they will be having high commitment,” she added.
