Director H Vinoth’s highly anticipated film, tentatively titled Thalapathy 69, starring Vijay, has a new member joining the cast. KVN Productions, the film’s producers, revealed on Tuesday that Bollywood actor Bobby Deol has been brought on board for Vijay’s final film, which is set to be released in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi. This exciting announcement was made on X (formerly known as Twitter), where the production house posted, “100% official now, Super happy & excited to announce that @thedeol joins #Thalapathy69 cast. #Thalapathy69CastReveal.”
While the production house has yet to disclose more information about the rest of the cast, the film is already generating a lot of buzz. Anirudh Ravichander, a renowned music composer, is set to handle the film’s soundtrack. The movie is scheduled for release in October next year. Bobby Deol also shared his enthusiasm for the project, reposting the news on his Instagram stories with the caption, “Super excited to be a part of the project.”
Thalapathy 69 will mark Bobby Deol’s second foray into Tamil cinema. He is already set to make his Tamil debut with director Siva’s Kanguva, a film featuring Suriya in the lead role alongside a star-studded cast that includes Disha Patani, Jagapathi Babu, Natarajan Subramaniam, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Anandaraj, and KS Ravikumar. Kanguva is slated for a November 14 release. Beyond Tamil cinema, Bobby is also making waves in the Telugu film industry, with notable projects such as Pawan Kalyan’s Hari Hara Veera Mallu and Balakrishna’s NBK 109.
After a resurgence in his career following his role in Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal, Bobby Deol’s entry into South Indian cinema is being seen as a significant development. His involvement in Thalapathy 69 adds an extra layer of excitement to the film, which already promises to be a major event in Tamil cinema.
