Chong Wei Urges Early Preparation for 2028 Olympics

Kuala Lumpur, 7th August 2024 – Former badminton star Datuk Lee Chong Wei has emphasized the importance of starting preparations for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics immediately.
Speaking at a recent event, Chong Wei stressed that delaying the planning process could hinder Malaysia’s chances of success. He highlighted the need for a long-term approach, urging athletes and coaches to focus on both short-term and long-term goals.
Chong Wei believes that early and consistent training, along with strategic planning, is crucial for athletes to perform their best on the global stage. He also suggested leveraging advanced sports science and support systems to enhance athlete performance.
The badminton legend’s advice comes as Malaysia aims to strengthen its presence and achieve greater success in future Olympic games, as stated in New Straits Times
