Civil Servants to Choose Between SSPA and SSM by Dec 2024

14th September 2024 – Civil servants with permanent appointments as of December 1, 2024, will be given the option to either remain under the Malaysian Remuneration System (SSM) or opt into the Public Service Remuneration System (SSPA).
This decision must be made between October 21 and November 30, 2024. Those who retire, resign, or are terminated before December 1 will not be eligible. Employees rejecting the SSPA will retain their current terms under SSM.
