25th September 2024: In Perak, a man’s attempt to search for old items in a deserted house near his banana farm in Kampung Balun, Slim River, led to the shocking discovery of a human skeleton. The individual had entered the house, believed to have been vacant for a long time, on a regular search for unused items. As he rummaged through the building, he unexpectedly came across the remains.
The skeleton was found in a sitting position, partially covered by debris, indicating that the house had likely been abandoned for a significant period. The authorities were immediately notified of the discovery, and a police team from the Muallim district arrived at the scene to investigate further.
According to District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hasni Mohd Nasir, forensic investigations are underway to determine the identity of the deceased and the cause of death. No immediate evidence suggests foul play, and the remains will undergo further forensic examination, including DNA testing.
Residents in the area expressed their shock at the discovery, with many unaware of any missing persons in the vicinity. The case has garnered attention as authorities work to uncover more information surrounding the identity of the deceased and any possible connection to missing persons cases.
Superintendent Mohd Hasni urged anyone with relevant information to come forward and assist in the investigation. The incident remains under close scrutiny as forensic teams gather additional evidence to determine the circumstances behind the individual’s death, as stated in Berita Harian.
