Dulquer Salmaan, who is gearing up for the release of his upcoming film Lucky Bhaskar, recently discussed why he took a brief hiatus following the mixed reception of King of Kotha. The 2023 film did not perform as expected at the box office, and Salmaan revealed that his decision to step back was driven by health concerns.
In a promotional interview with The Indian Express, Dulquershared, “I needed a short break. It wasn’t anyone’s fault, but I had some health issues. Last year, I managed to work on just one film, and that was partly because I didn’t take proper care of my health.”
He also reflected on the dedication of his father, legendary actor Mammootty, who remains deeply committed to his craft even after decades in the industry. Salmaan recounted an instance where Mammootty, while at home, suddenly declared he had figured out his character for an upcoming film, showcasing his focused approach.
Lucky Bhaskar, directed by Venky Atluri, marks Dulquer’sthird venture in Telugu cinema. Produced by SitharaEntertainment and Fortune Four Cinemas, the film is set to release in multiple languages, including Telugu, Malayalam, Tamil, and Hindi.
With this project, fans are eagerly awaiting Dulquer’s return to the big screen after his brief but essential break.
