Fatal Accident in Kota Marudu Banana Farm: Man Dies After Car Overturns

KOTA KINABALU, 19 August: A tragic accident occurred in Kampung Langkon, Kota Marudu, early Monday morning, claiming the life of 36-year-old Grandson Poyo.
The incident happened when his vehicle skidded and overturned in a banana farm, pinning him to his seat.
The Sabah Fire and Rescue Services Department received an emergency call at 1:02 a.m. and promptly dispatched a team of ten firefighters to the scene, arriving within 13 minutes.
They found the car overturned among banana trees, with Poyo still trapped inside. Despite efforts to extricate him, he was pronounced dead by medical officials on-site.
Initial investigations indicate that Poyo lost control of the vehicle, which then collided with banana trees before flipping over. The operations were concluded by 1:42 a.m., and the body was handed over to the police for further action as stated in The Star.
