Kuala Lumpur, January 19, 2024: Lionel Messi has been named The Best FIFA Men’s Player 2023, keeping his 2022 title –Fifa.com
After another round of qualification in which he wowed football fans worldwide, the superstar from Argentina has been awarded the title once more. After defeating Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland in the vote, Messi was honoured for his accomplishments at The Best FIFA Football Awards gala in London.

As per the Rules of Allocation, Messi’s lead-choice nominations from national team captains split him from Norway international Haaland, who was tied for first place with 48 scoring points, and the winner of the 2022 World Cup. Third place went to France’s Mbappe, who scored 35 points.
