The Mid Valley Shopping Mall caught on fire

KUALA LUMPUR, 17 May: Part of Mid Valley Megamall Shopping Centre catches fire here today around 10.30am, causing large, dense, black smoke plumes rising into the air.
Social media has been utilized to share a few images and videos of the fire.
Witnesses described seeing a massive smoke cloud engulfing the building and blocking their view.
When reached, a spokeswoman for the incident and Rescue Department stated that the department had gotten a call about the incident and was actively putting out the flames.
The spokesperson also said that the Tenaga Nasional Berhad electrical substation at the mall was where the fire started – NST.
A picture of the fire and information on the closure of two highways were released on the Kuala Lumpur Command & Control Center’s (KLCCC) Twitter feed.
Police are present to control traffic.
