Flood Situation Improving in Kedah, Fewer Evacuees Remain

26 SEPTEMBER: The flood situation in Kedah is gradually improving, with only 1,885 evacuees from 593 families still taking refuge in temporary shelters (PPS) as of this morning, down from 2,366 people the previous night. The evacuees are housed in 18 PPS across three districts: Pendang, Kota Setar, and Pokok Sena.
Pendang has the highest number of displaced individuals, with 1,216 people from 365 families spread across 10 PPS. Kota Setar and Pokok Sena follow with 605 and 64 evacuees respectively.
While floodwaters have receded, water levels in Sungai Anak Bukit remain at a warning level, at 1.58 meters as stated in BULETIN TV3.
