Foreigner Detained Over Assault and Robbery of Elderly Woman in Cyberjaya

14 SEPTEMBER: A foreign national has been apprehended in relation to a disturbing case involving the rape and robbery of a senior citizen in Cyberjaya. The 65-year-old victim was attacked in her residence on September 12, 2024.
The assailant, identified as a 30-year-old foreigner, allegedly forced his way into the victim’s home, assaulted her, and stole cash and personal belongings before fleeing the scene.
The incident was reported to the authorities after the victim managed to seek help from a neighbor. Law enforcement quickly initiated an investigation, leading to the suspect’s arrest.
The suspect, who was found in possession of items stolen from the victim, is currently in police custody.
Authorities have commended the swift response of the local community and the police.
