Four more ETS trains will be provided by KTMB for the Aidiladha period

Kuala Lumpur, May 30: Four more ETS trains will be provided by KeretapiTanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) to service the northern segment in connection with this Hari Raya Aidiladha.

According to KTMB, the extra services are ETS 9181 for Butterworth-KL Sentral and the return trip, ETS 9283 for Padang Besar-KL Sentral, and ETS 9286 for KL Sentral-Padang Besar. Between June 27 and July 2, these additional trains will run for six days.

Throughout that time, a total of 24 more services will be provided. Based on a statement released by KTMB, reported that “With this, the ETS service will offer a total of 36 trips daily, compared to 32 trips on normal days. On June 1, tickets for the extra trains will go on sale at 10 a.m.”

KTMB also mentioned that “The additional ETS trains are being added to accommodate the strong demand for tickets during festival times and to lessen traffic during the migration back to Kampung.”

“The additional trains offer 1,260 tickets per day, bringing the total number of tickets to 7,560, including for the business class coach,” it was further explained. The KTMB suggested that commuters purchase their tickets using the KTMB Mobile (KITS) app or the organization’s website.
