Grab Announced the Termination of 1,000 Employees.

Kuala Lumpur, June 21: Over 1,000 employees will be laid off by Singapore-based internet company Grab.
According to the company’s chief operational officer, Anthony Tan, the amount represents 11% of the whole workforce.
In 2012, Grab was established in Malaysia as a ride-hailing service. Since then, it has grown to become the leading ride-hailing service in Southeast Asia and has moved into financial services, such as digital payments.
In order to break it before the end of this year, the company is emphasising on its loss reduction strategies.
On the basis of it, he claimed that the move was not made with the sole objective of suspending 1,000 firm workers.
