Headmaster Inspires Students to Become Eco-Warriors

22 SEPTEMBER: Sangga Sinnayah, the headmaster of SJKT Sungai Ara in Penang, has transformed his school into an environmental haven, turning students into passionate eco-warriors.

He launched sustainability initiatives, including a ban on plastic, waste segregation, and composting programs. Through these efforts, students learned the importance of reducing their ecological footprint.Sangga’s initiatives didn’t stop at recycling.

He created a mini farm to teach students about food sustainability while generating funds for the school. His actions aligned with the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, earning recognition both locally and internationally.

After his transfer to SJKT Bayan Lepas, Sangga continued championing green causes, empowering more young minds to embrace sustainable practices.

His mission is clear: cultivate a generation of environmentally conscious leaders, ensuring the planet’s future remains in responsible hands as stated in Astro Ulagam.
