Insp S. Karnan Recognized for Swift Action in Triple Murder Case

25 NOVEMBER: Insp. S. Karnan, a 39-year-old officer from the Muar CID, was honored for his quick resolution of a devastating triple murder case. The victims, an elderly couple and their 11-year-old granddaughter, were killed in a fire set by the family’s own son.

Karnan’s team tirelessly pursued the suspect, eventually tracking him to Kuala Lumpur, where he was arrested after five days. Karnan, who empathizes deeply with victims, was awarded a certificate of appreciation for his outstanding dedication to justice as stated in Astro Ulagam.
