Ipoh, limelight in 2023 – Actor Vijay Sethupathi, new movie shooting

Ipoh, Perak – Materialising “Visit Ipoh 2023”, presence of renowned Kollywood actor, Vijay Sethupathi for his new movie shooting for 30 over days in Ipoh has drawn attention of nation from many states to Ipoh, Perak. This has created a spill over effect over the weekends where fans of VJS awaited for more than 12 hours to meet & greet their favourite actor. Along with the hero, famous comedian, Yogi Babu also grows the attention of public.
The entire team from Indian movie industry consists of 90 pax of cast and crew. Their presence will contribute to the rise of economy and brings Malaysia to the vision of movie industries all over the world. Additionally, the movie shooting had created job opportunities for many people. Despite that, there were also new opportunities opened to many local artists for acting career, setting up crew, safety crew, etc.
Perak state government is overwhelmed in having the production team in Ipoh, Perak. We have provided them with all necessities needed for the smooth shooting processes, said K.Novinthen, Perak Exco’s Special Advisor to The Hindu Press. He also added that, this venture eventually will help to peak Perak tourism as there are so many places of interest to be explored. From the arrival of VJS, there has been a spike of tourists to Perak. Therefore, we are working on more ventures to increase the visits to Perak, K.Novin wrapped up.
