Kula Lumpur, Feb 10: A teacher of a 15-year-old teen had been charged for telling his student to convert to Islam for a better sustain in the national football team.
It all started in a WhatsApp group created by his teacher, where the teacher had deliberately fostered the student to become a Muslim and influenced other students in the group to propose Islamic names for him.
“When I read through the messages, I saw that the teacher told my son that he had to be a Muslim in order to join the national team,” told the tensed mother of that innocent 15-year-old teenager, to the reporters during a press conference.
Relatively, for the past 6 months, the teacher had also purportedly espoused religion to the student, said his mother, Vasan. The “Hindu Agamam Ani Malaysia Association” chairperson Mr. Arun Dorasamy, has been braced with that student’s parent’s decision to lodge a complaint against the teacher to the police for attempting to convert the student to a different religion without their permission.
