Jalan Masjid India Bustles Again Post-SAR Operation

1st September 2024 – Jalan Masjid India in Kuala Lumpur has regained its vibrancy after the conclusion of a search and rescue (SAR) operation following a landslide incident on August 23.
The SAR effort was called off after safety concerns arose. Shops along the street, which had seen a significant drop in customers during the operation, are now reopening.
Local traders, like a jewelry store employee, noted an 80% drop in business but are hopeful for recovery. Visitors, too, express optimism, with some urging ongoing safety monitoring in the area to restore confidence among tourists and shoppers, as stated in Bernama
