Jalan Masjid India Traders Seek Government Intervention for Safety and Business Stability

31st August 2024 – The traders’ association in Jalan Masjid India, Kuala Lumpur, is seeking discussions with government agencies following a sinkhole incident on August 23, which has severely impacted their income and raised safety concerns.
Representing over 150 traders, the association is calling for meetings with Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL), Indah Water Konsortium (IWK), and the Federal Territories Minister’s Office to address the issues.
The traders have reported a 70% drop in income since the incident and emphasize the urgency of finding a permanent solution to ensure both safety and business continuity, as stated in Bernama
