Even though Kamal Haasan is 69 years old, he still keeps up with the latest technological advancements. The seasoned actor reportedly took a plane to the US to attend a prestigious university to study artificial intelligence, according to a Deccan Herald article.
According to the story, Kamal departed for the United States this past weekend to begin a ninety-day AI training. He will, however, only be in the course for 45 days before leaving to finish his business commitments in India. It appears that Kamal plans to use AI in his next endeavors.
“I have a deep interest in new technology, and you can often see my films experimenting with the latest technological developments. Cinema is my life. All my earnings have gone back into my films by various means. I’m not merely an actor, but a producer too, and I reinvest everything I earn from movies into the industry,” Kamal said to the journal in a previous interview from earlier in the year.
Kamal used prosthetics extensively to create the image of an action actor who was over a century old in his most recent movie, Indian 2. Additionally, Nag Ashwin played Yaskin, the main antagonist in the epic sci-fi film Kalki 2898 AD, in which he used a lot of visual effects to create his appearance.
He’ll return for a longer role in the follow-up. Next year, Kamal will also appear in two films: Mani Ratnam’s action movie Thug Life and Shankar’s historical drama Indian 3.
