Kuala Lumpur, 15th August – Khairy Jamaluddin, former UMNO Youth Chief, has publicly supported three Malaysiakini journalists who are under investigation for a report about changes in the top leadership of the Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM).
The report, which led to the questioning of the journalists, sparked concerns about press freedom in Malaysia.
Khairy, in his podcast “Keluar Sekejap,” emphasized the importance of protecting journalistic integrity and urged authorities to respect media rights.
