Malaysia Sets New Record with Longest Jalur Gemilang Human Trail

13th OCTOBER: In a remarkable display of national unity, a new record for the longest Jalur Gemilang human trail was set in Kuala Lumpur on October 13, 2024. Over 4,500 participants came together, dressed in the national colors of red, white, blue, and yellow, to form a trail representing Malaysia’s flag.

The event, organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports, spanned a staggering 7.4 kilometers, surpassing the previous record from 2018.The event not only celebrated Malaysia’s National Day but also aimed to foster a sense of patriotism and togetherness among citizens.

Participants from diverse backgrounds joined in the effort, reflecting Malaysia’s multicultural spirit. The unity seen during the event symbolized the harmony within the nation, echoing the sentiment that “in unity, there is strength.

“Minister of Youth and Sports, Hannah Yeoh, lauded the participants and emphasized the importance of events like this to inspire Malaysians and reinforce the values of unity and national pride. This record-breaking feat serves as a reminder of the power of community and the strength that comes from working together for a common cause.
