Malaysia to Host 2027 SEA Games

29th August 2024 – Malaysia has officially agreed to host the 2027 Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, marking the first time since 2017 that the country will organize this major regional sporting event.
The decision was announced following discussions among key stakeholders, who believe the event will significantly boost Malaysia’s sports sector and provide opportunities for athletes to shine on home soil.
The last SEA Games held in Malaysia were well-received, and the 2027 edition is expected to further enhance the country’s reputation in the sporting world, as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
