Malaysian Lorry Driver Sentenced to One Year in Prison for Cyberbullying Case Linked to Late Esha

26th September 2024: A 40-year-old Malaysian lorry driver, B Sathiskumar, was sentenced to one year in prison for cyberbullying, linked to the tragic death of TikTok user Esha.
Sathiskumar had posted obscene and humiliating content targeting Esha’s mother, P R Puspa, on TikTok. He pleaded guilty to two charges of inappropriate online conduct on June 30, 2024.
The court sentenced him to 12 months for each charge, to be served concurrently from his arrest on July 10. The case highlights the ongoing issue of cyberbullying in Malaysia, as stated in World of Buzz.
