ROMPIN, 9 August: Izzul Zafran Abd Razak, a 20-year-old graphic design student from Politeknik Muadzam Shah, has made Malaysia proud by winning the Certiport Adobe Certified Professional World Championship 2024 in California. His triumph earned him a scholarship worth RM35,806.

Competing against 46 participants, Izzul initially aimed for a top ten finish but exceeded his expectations by claiming the top spot. Despite facing financial and logistical challenges, Izzul persevered, thanks to the support of his family, friends, and lecturer Nurul Fadzillah Abdul Wahab.

Izzul’s journey to the championship was not without obstacles. Financial difficulties nearly forced him to withdraw, but his father’s support and a sponsorship from the Polytechnic and Community College Education Department allowed him to continue. Izzul credited his success to the rigorous two-month preparation guided by his lecturer, focusing on strategy and technical aspects.

Reflecting on his achievement, Izzul expressed his pride in representing Malaysia on the international stage and considered this victory the beginning of a successful career. He now sets his sights on the VISCOM 23, a final project competition for his diploma, and plans to pursue further studies with the ambition of becoming a lecturer.

Izzul’s accomplishment not only underscores his talent but also highlights the potential of Malaysian students to excel globally. His success story serves as an inspiration, showcasing the importance of determination, hard work, and the vital role of support in overcoming challenges as stated in New Straits Times.
