Man Dies After Falling from Petai Tree

6th September 2024 – A man died after falling from a petai tree in Kampung Bukit Perah, Terengganu. The victim, 53, was collecting petai when he lost his balance and fell from a height of approximately 15 meters.
The district police chief, Supt Mohd Hasme Abd Rahman, said the incident occurred in the early afternoon. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene by medical personnel. His body was later sent to the hospital for a post-mortem.
The tragic accident has shocked the local community, as the victim was well-known in the village. The authorities advise people to take extra precautions when climbing tall trees, especially without proper safety equipment, to avoid such incidents in the future.
The case has been classified as sudden death, and no foul play is suspected. The victim’s family is receiving support from relatives and neighbors during this difficult time, as stated in Buletin TV3.
