McDonald’s Malaysia Secures Sixth Consecutive Community Engagement Award

24 SEPTEMBER: McDonald’s Malaysia has proudly received the Community Engagement and Upliftment Award in the Quick Service Restaurant category at the 2024 Sustainability and CSR Malaysia Awards. This recognition, presented by Deputy Minister of Women, Family, and Community Development Datuk Seri Dr Noraini Ahmad, celebrates Malaysian companies excelling in Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) initiatives and corporate social responsibility.

This accolade marks McDonald’s Malaysia’s sixth consecutive year of recognition from the CSR Awards, reflecting its unwavering commitment to social responsibility and community involvement. As the company celebrates over 42 years of service in Malaysia, it continues to focus on its mission of nourishing and uplifting local communities.

McDonald’s Malaysia has initiated various impactful programs, such as the Anugerah Guru Inspirasi and Community Month celebrations with orphanages, along with charitable activities during festive seasons. Managing Director Datuk Azmir Jaafar expressed pride in these accomplishments, emphasizing the company’s dedication to giving back to the Malaysian community through initiatives like Program Komuniti @ McDonald’s and Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC). With over 23,000 employees and 13.5 million customers monthly, McDonald’s remains committed to making a positive difference in the lives of Malaysians as stated in Bernama.
