MetMalaysia Issues Weather Alert for East Malaysia

4th January 2025: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) has issued a weather advisory for East Malaysia, forecasting thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds for Saturday, January 4, 2025.
In Sarawak, the affected areas include Bintulu and Miri, specifically the districts of Subis and Miri. In Sabah, the regions expected to experience adverse weather conditions are the Interior (Kuala Penyu and Nabawan), Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran, Kota Belud, and Tawau. The advisory is in effect until noon today.
Residents in these areas are advised to stay updated with the latest weather information and take necessary precautions to ensure safety, as stated in The Star.
