Mollywood actor Nivin Pauly vows to take legal action and disputes accusations of sexual assault

Yesterday, a sexual assault case against well-known actor Nivin Pauly in Ernakulam rocked the Malayalam cinema industry. According to the accusation, Nivin is one of six people who allegedly lured a woman to Dubai in November 2023 with the promise of a movie role, only to rape her. The case has garnered a great deal of attention, and observers in the field and fans alike are closely following the developments.
Nivin Pauly and the other accused have been charged with no bail by the Kerala police. Nivin had to clarify a few hours after the story emerged due to the rapid virality of the news. “I have come across a false news report accusing me of abusing a girl,” Nivin said in his statement, vehemently disputing the accusations. Please be aware that this is wholly incorrect. I will do everything it takes to disprove these accusations, and I’m willing to go to any lengths to identify the people who are behind them. I appreciate you expressing this worry. Legal action will be taken against the others.
Nivin also addressed the media directly at a press conference he conducted late last night in response to the accusations. “Just now, I watched the news. I haven’t seen that girl and I don’t know her. This is a vile accusation. I have a family, thus the news affects us. At this point, I am certain that I am not at fault, which is why I asked for this news conference. I will fight against it and handle the case in accordance with the law, as per the lodged FIR. I’ll do everything it takes to establish the reality. This is going to take time,” Nivin said.
