Motorcyclist Killed After Running Red Light in Krubong

23 SEPTEMBER: A motorcyclist tragically lost his life after allegedly running a red light and colliding with a car at Jalan Pantai Belimbing One, Krubong, late last night.
The victim, Muhammad Hairul Nizam Mat Sahat, 20, a factory operator, died at the scene in the 10 pm incident. Melaka Tengah District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Christopher Patit, stated that the collision involved a Yamaha Y15R motorcycle and a Subaru Forester SUV.
Preliminary investigations revealed that the 35-year-old car driver, a wedding consultant, was heading from Tanah Merah to Taman Krubong when the accident occurred. As the driver proceeded through a green light, the motorcycle reportedly ran a red light, leading to the fatal crash.
The motorcyclist died instantly, while the car driver escaped unharmed. The body was sent to Melaka Hospital for a post-mortem, and both vehicles were sent to Puspakom for inspection. The case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 as stated in Buletin TV3.
