MRT3 to Integrate All Klang Valley Rail Services: Experts

26th September 2024 : Transport experts have highlighted that the upcoming MRT3 line will significantly enhance connectivity within the Klang Valley by integrating various rail services. MRT3 will act as a circular line, linking the existing MRT1 and MRT2 lines with other rail systems such as the LRT, KTM Komuter, and Monorail, improving ease of transfer for commuters. The new line aims to reduce congestion, decrease travel times, and create a more seamless transportation network.
Experts believe that the MRT3 will play a pivotal role in alleviating the traffic burden in Kuala Lumpur, particularly in densely populated areas, by offering more public transportation options. The integrated rail system is expected to provide commuters with a reliable alternative to private vehicle use, contributing to reduced traffic congestion and environmental impact.
Furthermore, the project is expected to enhance the city’s public transportation infrastructure by closing the loop in the existing rail network. With 31 stations planned, the line is poised to serve a wide range of urban and suburban areas, benefitting residents from various parts of the city.
