Kuala Lumpur, September 7: Malaysian Democratic Alliance Party (Muda) has collectively accepted to join Pakatan Harapan (PH) as a coalition partner, as stated by Sinar Harian.

The issue was resolved during the Youth Election Conference, which took place on Monday and Tuesday.

As a result, the president, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, stated that his side is willing to retain formal conversations with the PH Presidential Council on the matter.

Since the Johor State Election, he claims, there have been informal conversations about youth participation in PH (PRN).

Muda is willing to hold formal discussions with the PH Presidential Council regarding the nation’s direction in order to make sure that the people’s voice is heard and to create a progressive, dignified Malaysia which celebrates the diversity of races and religions – Sinar Harian

“It’s not just a collaboration with PH (for GE15) but starting preliminary discussions for the participation of a stable bloc with the same principle of struggle.

“I cannot comment further until there is an official negotiation,” he stated following the conference on Tuesday at a press conference.

On Monday, PH chairman Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim was quoted as saying that the coalition had not yet addressed Muda’s involvement.

Anwar, on the other hand, stated that PH has no issue with opposition cooperation and conversation.

Syed Saddiq also declared the formation of the Youth Election Committee, which will be headed by the Youth Deputy President, Amira Aisya Abd Aziz, during the same media conference – Sinar Harian
