“MUSLIM SAHAJA” – Facepalm in Facebook for Foodbank
Perak, 5 July: Netizens condemn Food bank at Perak. A post in FB page (TMM 2.0 extra) wrote MUSLIM SAHAJA on the board. The page belongs to Pasar Mini Babussalam Mart, being the owner of the foodbank.
FB page TMM 2.0 puts up a board against its own earlier posts, “Don’t act shame, we as a Malaysian should help each other no matter what race & religion you’re, Malaysia is getting more and more racist’’.
Netizens bashed them in the comments for their act contributing to racism.
Few hours after the post, representatives from Pasar Mini Babussalam Mart claimed that it was an old picture.They pleaded apology for their act. Thereafter, another image uploaded without the word “Muslim Sahaja”.
Some of netizens show dissatisfaction for the thoughts.It can bring threat to national unity.The post was flooded with comments. A Facebook page that took this matter to the public did addressed about how insensitive a person can be at times.
In the recent update upon checking, we have found that they have removed the caption and apologized in their facebook handle.
