PUCHONG, 28 November 2025: The Nicol David Organisation (NDO) marked a meaningful cultural milestone as its founders, Datuk Nicol David and Mariana de Reyes, took part in the brick-laying ceremony for the upcoming Sri Maha Mariamman Devasthanam temple in Bandar Puchong Jaya.
The temple, now under construction, is set to become a significant spiritual landmark for the local Hindu community. NDO was invited to witness the symbolic grounding ritual, where the first stone was laid to bless the new structure.
According to a statement posted on NDO’s official social media, the stone presented during the ceremony was a special gift from one of the organisation’s “Little Legends,” a term used for children enrolled in NDO’s empowerment and education programmes, and the child’s family. The gesture highlights the close relationship between the organisation and the local communities it serves.
NDO described the moment as an honour and noted that the temple holds a “very special place” in the organisation’s journey.
The ceremony brought together community members, devotees, and supporters as preparations continue for the construction of the new temple, which is expected to serve as a cultural and religious hub in Puchong.
