Nur Dhabitah keeps Malaysia’s medal hopes alive by reaching the Olympic diving finals

Paris, 9 August 2024: Nur Dhabitah Sabri, a national diver, made waves today in the women’s 3-meter springboard finals at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris to keep herself in the running for a medal – Malay mail

Nur Dhabitah progressed to the finals, which are set for this Friday at 3 p.m. (Malaysia time), after placing eighth with 286.95 points overall in the semi-finals at the Olympics Aquatics Centre here.


The 25-year-old got off to a great start, placing second after the first dive with a score of 67.50 for inward 2 1/2 somersaults – Malay mail

She scored 55.50 and 46.50 points in the second and third rounds, respectively, but could not manage to maintain the same momentum.

After earning unused quota points to qualify for the Olympics in Paris, Nur Dhabitah secured her spot in the finals with two dive scores of 57.00 and 60.45.

With 360.85 points, Chen Yiwen of China topped the semi-finals, followed by Australian Kenny Maddison (334.70) and Italian Chiara Pellacani (324.75).
