One-armed delivery rider dreams of driving a car

PETALING JAYA, 14th Sept: Radha Krishnan, who only has one arm, works as a Foodpanda delivery rider, sometimes on a scooter and sometimes on foot. Additionally, he aspires to drive a car and have a prosthetic arm.
He passed his driving exam, but he is unable to obtain a probationary license since he requires a car that has been modified for disabled drivers. But because he lacks a license, he is unable to obtain a car loan as stated in Free Malaysia Today News.
One of the major issues for the disabled when applying for a driver’s license is this, therefore I hope the road transport department (JPJ) would investigate it, the man stated. At age six, Radha’s right arm was amputated.
The train ran over his arm when he tumbled off it. Despite the fact that he claims he has never let his impairment prevent him from trying to lead a normal life, there are times when he wishes some things were different. Before fellow food delivery riders chipped in to buy him an electric scooter, he used to make his rounds on a bicycle as stated in Free Malaysia Today News.
When necessary, Radha delivers food on foot instead of on his motorized scooter. When his scooter couldn’t be used for three days, Radha completed his deliveries on foot. After a social media post applauding his perseverance went viral, Radha quickly gained notoriety.
“Sympathy is not what I’m after. Everyone needs to work to support themselves. People assume I’m having trouble because of what I do, but I love my job since I have freedom and can spend my money anyway, I like. The 34-year-old told FMT, “I like it.
Painful strange stares and cruel comments regarding his condition can cause moments of self-consciousness. “Occasionally, a young child remarks that I don’t have an arm. I’m hurt by that. I occasionally find it difficult to simply look in the mirror. Just so I can comb my hair, I have to get pretty close. However, other food delivery riders were gracious to him right away.
In order to save money for a conventional electric scooter, he added, “They pooled together and purchased me a three-wheeled electric scooter. I used it for six months. “Since it takes time to charge the batteries for the scooters, he uses both. So having two scooters makes things simpler for me. Radha claimed he applied for a prosthetic arm at the welfare department when he was 21 but never heard back as stated in Free Malaysia Today.
