Over 3,800 Flood Victims Remain in Temporary Shelters Across Six States

18 October: As of this morning, 3,880 individuals displaced by floods are still housed in 28 temporary relief centers (PPS) across six affected states.
In Perak, the number of evacuees rose slightly to 1,456 people from 461 families, compared to 1,441 the previous night. These individuals are sheltered in 11 PPS. Water levels in Sungai Bidor and Sungai Rui in Hilir Perak have exceeded danger levels, while rivers in Kampar and Perak Tengah have reached alert status.
Meanwhile, in Kedah, the number of evacuees has decreased to 621 individuals from 182 families, down from 655 the previous night. They are being housed in five PPS in Kota Setar and Pendang districts.
In Pahang, the number of flood victims in Temerloh has dropped to 1,751 people from 529 families, down slightly from the previous night. All evacuees are taking refuge in nine PPS.
Selangor continues to see 33 people from nine families in one PPS located in Sabak Bernam. Water levels in Sungai Bernam have reached dangerous levels, while Sungai Langat is on alert.
In Melaka, the number of evacuees remains steady at 12, housed in one PPS in Jasin, while Perlis has seven flood victims in one PPS, involving four families.
Authorities are closely monitoring river levels, and efforts to manage the flood situation are ongoing to ensure the safety and well-being of affected communities as stated in BULETIN TV3.
