PDRM Clarifies Misuse of Logo T-Shirt Seen in Viral Video

By Subaashinee Kupusamy,
3 September: The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) have addressed public concerns after a video featuring a man wearing a t-shirt with the police logo went viral. In the video, the individual is seen engaging in a non-official activity while wearing the shirt, which led to widespread speculation.

PDRM clarified that the t-shirt in question is part of a sports attire set provided to police personnel and is not intended for official duties or operations. The police emphasized that this shirt should not be confused with the official police uniform, which is reserved strictly for duty-related activities.

The PDRM further urged the public not to misinterpret the use of the t-shirt and reassured that steps are being taken to address any potential misuse. They also reminded the public of the importance of distinguishing between official uniforms and other police-issued attire to avoid confusion.

This incident has highlighted the need for clear communication regarding the appropriate use of police-related insignia and the importance of maintaining the integrity of the official uniform. The PDRM is committed to ensuring that such situations are handled promptly and that the public remains informed as stated in The Star.
