His schedule kicks off with the Sabah State Government dinner, where he will be joined by Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Fadillah Yusof and Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
On September 12, the Prime Minister will visit Felda Sahabat in Lahad Datu, a key location for the ‘Karnival Segalanya Felda.’ The event highlights the importance of Felda communities and focuses on various initiatives aimed at improving the livelihood of settlers. This event symbolizes the government’s ongoing commitment to uplifting rural areas and supporting economic growth in the region.
Additionally, one of the key highlights of Anwar’s visit is the meeting of the Malaysia Agreement 1963 (MA63) Implementation Action Council, which will take place at the Sabah International Convention Centre. This meeting is particularly important as it addresses the long-standing issues surrounding MA63, a crucial agreement related to the rights of Sabah and Sarawak within the Malaysian Federation. The discussions are expected to foster continued efforts toward ensuring equitable development for Sabah and Sarawak, strengthening the federal-state relationship.
The Prime Minister’s visit underscores the importance of Sabah’s role in national progress and the government’s dedication to ensuring the region’s development and well-being.
