PM Anwar Urges End to Race-Based Political Conflicts

Kuala Lumpur, 20th August – Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim has called for an end to race-based political conflicts in Malaysia, urging citizens to unite as one nation. He emphasized that the country’s future depends on national unity rather than divisive rhetoric.

Speaking at a conference, Anwar stressed the need to move beyond racial issues, particularly in politics, to ensure Malaysia’s development and stability. He highlighted the government’s commitment to economic growth and social justice for all Malaysians, regardless of race or religion. Anwar called on political leaders and the public to collaborate in building a harmonious and prosperous Malaysia, advocating for an end to divisive politics.

He emphasized the importance of shifting towards a more inclusive approach, ensuring that every Malaysian feels a sense of belonging and security. Anwar’s call comes amidst ongoing political tensions, where racial and religious issues are often used to garner support.

He asserted that the government will not tolerate actions that threaten national unity and will continue to implement policies that benefit all citizens equally, as stated in Malaymail.
