Police Escort Disciplined for Assaulting E-Hailing Driver

Kuala Lumpur, 15th August – A police officer assigned as an escort to Johor’s Regent, Tunku Ismail Sultan Ibrahim, has been disciplined after allegedly assaulting a deaf e-hailing driver.
The Inspector-General of Police, Razarudin Husain, confirmed that the officer is also under investigation under the Penal Code.
The incident gained public attention, prompting a swift response from the police to address the situation.
The officer’s disciplinary action is part of ongoing efforts to ensure accountability within the police force.
