Police Receive Five Reports on Rocks Found on Roads Near KLIA

12th September 2024 – Five reports have been lodged with the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) police station concerning rocks found on roads leading to KLIA. The incident occurred in areas such as Jalan Lapangan Terbang KLIA and Jalan Pekeliling KLIA, both of which are main routes to the airport.
The situation caused unease among drivers, especially when rocks were discovered along the roads on several occasions.
KLIA police chief Assistant Commissioner Imran Abd Rahman confirmed receiving these reports, adding that the incidents occurred on September 9 and 10, 2024.
According to him, the presence of these rocks poses a serious risk to road users, especially those traveling at high speeds. He assured that investigations are ongoing, and efforts are being made to ensure road safety.
The authorities are urging the public to be cautious and report any suspicious activities or objects that could endanger lives on the road. They also advise drivers to be vigilant, particularly when traveling on unfamiliar roads or during off-peak hours.
The public is encouraged to cooperate with law enforcement to prevent such incidents from happening again, as stated in Berita Harian.
